Our Founder’s Story
Shadi Farsi experienced life as a single mother student, the difficulties of balancing motherhood, school commitments and other responsibilities. She saw other women in her position struggling to complete their education. She wanted to do something to help these women succeed! So, Bright Mothers was formed. Her passion is to help single mothers in difficult situations to continue their higher education to earn their degree to allow them to have the tools needed to follow their career dreams.

Meet The Team
HELLO, I’M LAUREN
I am a single mother of three, and a business owner of a floral design company called Lovely Peonies. Education has played a huge role in my life and my ability to provide for three precious lives. As I finish up my bachelors degree to teach special education, I am so blessed to be a part of Bright Mother’s and to continue this journey with you all.
Hi, I’m Naomi
I am a mom to a beautiful little girl, working from home doing intake for a residential treatment center. I used to worked as a drug and alcohol counselor, and I saw a lot of heartache as single, low-income mothers struggled to make a living while trying to raise their children and shield them from the vicious cycles of their circumstances. I want to help break that cycle, and I believe education is an integral part to a woman’s success.

I am a happily married mom of two with a degree in sociology. I truly understand the importance of education and support everything Bright Mothers stands for. I am honored to be a part of such a useful and life-changing organization!
Hi! My name is Alexes
I am a wife, boy mom and a wedding and lifestyle photographer in Southern California. I have a major in Communication and a minor in Legal studies from the University of Colorado. Education is the core of me and without it, I would of never learned how to run/ manage my own business. It’s something I take tremendous pride in and I love working for a non-profit that helps low income single mothers strive for a better future with education.
